Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
Hysterectomy is a commonly performed gynecologic surgery, primarily for the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding, fibroids, chronic pelvic pain, etc. Using a laparoscopic approach minimizes both recovery time and postoperative pain substantially. Patients generally go home the same day as the surgery and may be back to work, resuming normal activities within 1-2 weeks rather than 6 weeks for an open procedure. This approach also minimizes blood loss during the procedure. For more information, click here
In-Office Endometrial Ablation
Many women suffer from heavy menstrual bleeding, particularly as they get closer to menopause. Often times, within 5-10 years of menopause, bleeding patterns may become erratic and excessive. Once child bearing is complete, there is a safe, extremely effective procedure that can be done in the office to decrease or even stop further bleeding. For more information, click here
Tubal Ligation with Essure®
Many women desiring permanent sterilization have been having tubal ligations for years but now with the Essure® device which is placed under hysteroscopic guidance, where no incision is necessary, this can be done much more easily, with less postoperative pain and significantly greater effectiveness. In some cases, under certain insurance plans, this can even be done in the office. For more information, click here
